My little Indie publisher, Bacon and Eggs Media, is giving away 10 copies of 'Maybe because' by Aimee Garcia-Tice, illustrated by Serena Geddes to celebrate National Adoption Awareness Week in November. This is a really charming book (and has been awarded Recommended Read status by the National Adoption Awareness Week Board) about why all kids are special, not just those who are adopted. Pop on over to to enter to win! Hurry! Competition ends on November 30 2011! The book is also available from The Book Depository and Amazon. It is a great gift for anyone with children aged 2-8!

Clare grew up in Constable Country not far from East Trimley where Kate Summers and Detective Vicky Allard solve their local mysteries. Clare also lived for many years on a street in Manhattan just like the street where Bella and Felix live although she was never chased through Central Park at night by a couple of failed fashion-world gangsters. Clare now lives on a high cliff next to a lighthouse in Australia but luckily doesn't have to walk too far to see amazing skies like the ones in Constable Country or buy bagels.
